Topgolf coming to Doak in April

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

TPC. Bay Hill. Doral. Doak Campbell Stadium.

Wait. Really? Yes.

Topgolf will be bringing its modified live golf experience to Doak Campbell Stadium on April 23-26. Picture a driving range with tall nets on the sides as well as colorful targets on the field, and you have Topgolf.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Jan. 17 at fsu.athleticscomplex.com.

Topgolf Live features Toptracer Range technology that tracks the flight path of the golf balls, instantly scoring every shot in an interactive, in-stadium Topgolf game. Players can compete as they aim for massive targets ranging from 60-140 yards away on the field. After dark, the targets will glow and light up the field for a special night golf experience.

The four-day event will include food and drink options as well as music and other entertainment options.

“Topgolf Live is something we have been working hard to bring together, and we can’t wait to see it come to life,” said Jason Dennard, Associate Athletic Director for New Revenue and Marketing at FSU. “This event highlights our commitment to bringing exciting opportunities for our fans to our venues. Topgolf is a brand we are excited to not only bring to Doak, but to the entire local Tallahassee community.”

Topgolf events have taken place at baseball parks and other stadiums across the country.

Tee times for Topgolf Live Doak Campbell Stadium are reserved in one-hour increments. Prices start at $40 for player tickets, $30 for students and $110 for Premium tickets. Premium tickets include access to food vouchers, drink tickets, a limited-edition Topgolf Live hat provided by Black Clover, a complimentary Topgolf lifetime membership and a $10 Game Play voucher, redeemable at any U.S. Topgolf location, excluding Topgolf Las Vegas.

I hit golf balls in Doak Campbell in the late 80’s and Jimmy Calloway chased me across field. Scary.

There is no statute of limitations with Calloway. He’s back on your trail… he’ll find you.

      You could have outrun Calloway.
