Free agent deals: Samuels to Packers, Taylor to Rams

Florida State defensive back Stanford Samuels III has agreed to a free-agent deal with the Green Bay Packers.

Samuels’ agent, Ryan Rubin, confirmed the agreement with the Osceola on Saturday night. Rubin said the Packers view Samuels as a cornerback.

As a junior, Samuels had 60 tackles and two interceptions in 2019. While Samuels went undrafted after leaving school early, he in the end gets to pick his spot in the NFL with a chance to make a roster this fall.

Senior corner Levonta Taylor, who had 37 tackles, a sack and an interception last fall, announced on Twitter that he agreed to a deal with the LA Rams – where he will join running back Cam Akers and cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Offensive tackle Ryan Roberts announced on Twitter that he has agreed to a deal with the LA Chargers. Roberts transferred to FSU from Northern Illinois and started at right tackle in 2019.

Tight end Gabe Nabers also announced on Twitter that he has also agreed to a deal with the Chargers. Nabers converted from fullback to tight end and caught 15 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns in 2019.
