Sidney Williams jumps at FSU scholarship

Three-star defensive back Sidney Williams reportedly received a scholarship offer from Florida State on Tuesday night.

Just hours later, the 6-foot-1, 198-pound Williams signed with the Seminoles. Williams also had interest from Indiana, Tulane and Auburn.

Williams played at Mobile (Ala.) Vigor. He missed most of his senior season due to injury. He played some offense, accumulating 227 receiving yards and 96 rushing yards combined in the 2017 and ’18 seasons.

At Vigor High, Williams helped lead the team to 14 wins and the 2018 5A state championship game behind a defense that allowed 8.4 points per game.

He also played basketball and ran track in high school.
