Thomas Shrader will make his first start for Florida State tonight against NC State, the Osceola has learned.
FSU will start two true freshmen (Shrader and Robert Scott) as well as two redshirt freshmen (Darius Washington and Maurice Smith) on the offensive line. Baveon Johnson will also start. This will be the fourth starting offensive line combination for FSU in eight games.
Shrader will be playing for the first time since the Miami game in week 2.
Quarterback Jordan Travis did not travel to Raleigh with the team. FSU will start either Chubba Purdy or Tate Rodemaker against the Wolfpack.
Safeties Hamsah Nasirildeen, Travis Jay and Renardo Green are all on the way back from injuries. It’s not clear yet which safeties will play against the Wolfpack, but linebacker Emmett Rice teased his Twitter followers with this photo of him and Nasirildeen:
