Florida State third baseman Sydney Sherrill and starting pitcher Kathryn Sandercock were both named D1softball.com All-Americans on Monday.
Sherrill hit .304 with 15 doubles, two home runs, 34 RBI and 47 runs scored. She had a .464 on-base percentage.
Sandercock was 27-4 with a 1.25 ERA, striking out 127 batters (with just 28 walks) in 178.2 innings. Opponents hit just .191 against the right-hander.
FSU went 49-13-1 last season and reached the championship round of the Women’s CWS. The Seminoles open the season on Feb. 11 against Mercer and Kennesaw State in a doubleheader in the JoAnne Graf Classic.
