Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In the latest edition of the Osceola’s Seminole Sidelines podcast host and football writer Patrick Burnham and football analyst Mark Salva are joined by Florida State offensive line coach Alex Atkins to discuss the Seminoles’ improved offensive line play this season. After finishing the 2019 season ranked 93rd in rushing offense, the Seminoles rank 25th in that category through six games in the 2020 season due in large part to the continuous improvement of Atkins’ unit.

Among the talking points are Atkins’ path to a career in coaching and to Tallahassee to be a part of head coach Mike Norvell’s staff. We also talk to Atkins about the overall progress of the offensive line since he joined Norvell’s staff back in December, his expectations for FSU’s offensive line, building relationships with and instilling confidence in his players, coaching style, coaching influences, what he looks for in offensive line prospects on the recruiting trail, his first Seminole Saturday night, Tallahassee and more.
