Seminole Sidelines: Blackman named QB1, TE play, turnaround time

In episode six of the Osceola’s Seminole Sidelines podcast host Patrick Burnham is joined by publisher Jerry Kutz, managing editor Bob Ferrante and football analyst Mark Salva to discuss FSU coach Mike Norvell’s naming junior James Blackman as the Seminoles’ starting quarterback heading into the season opener against Georgia Tech.

The guys are also joined by former USF, Miami, Tennessee and Florida tight ends coach Larry Scott to discuss tight end play in today’s college offenses. Scott is now the head coach at Howard University after spending 2018-19 as part of Dan Mullen’s staff in Gainesville. He also discusses the unique challenges of taking over a program during the Covid-19 pandemic, the timetable for Norvell’s retooling of the FSU program and the Seminoles’ switch back to a four-man front on defense.
