Defensive tackle Cory Durden has entered the transfer portal, according to a report by 247Sports.
Durden had posted on Twitter in November that he was playing through a shoulder injury and chose to opt out but that he was not going to the NFL. He has been in quarantine and this year became a father.
This fall, Durden played in seven games (starting three). He had seven tackles.
While Durden did not acknowledge he was in the transfer portal, on Thursday he said on Twitter that he doesn’t “know what my next move is but i know I’m in gods hands.”
Durden’s decision hurts from a depth standpoint but FSU has a number of veteran defensive tackles, including Robert Cooper, Dennis Briggs, Fabien Lovett, Tru Thompson and others.
