FSU got some either really good news or some not so good news on Monday night on the recruiting front. Class of 2021 defensive tackle prospect Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins announced that Florida State was among the final six schools he was considering.

There is a “catch” with Ingram-Dawkins’ top-six, which also includes South Carolina, Tennessee, Penn State, North Carolina and Georgia. The 6-foot-5 and 300-pound rising senior has already made his commitment known to the coaches at the school of his choice privately.

“It’s a great place,” Ingram-Dawkins told The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C. “That’s really all I can say. It’s a great place. It’s a great place and there’s great football played there. They were just fired up (when he gave them the news).”

One telling sign for FSU fans may be the fact that Ingram-Dawkins has reportedly taken unofficial visits to Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia but has not visited the other schools in his top six.

Ingram-Dawkins is rated a three-star prospect in 247Sports Composite rankings. They also Gaffney (SC) HS product ranked as the 22nd-best defensive tackle prospect in the country.

Class of 2022 Updates

FSU also offered 2022 defensive end prospect Enai White from Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Institute. The 6-5 and 225-pound rising junior is reported to have almost three dozen offers from a list of schools that includes LSU, Penn State, Tennessee, Michigan, Miami, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

White is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, which also has him ranked as the top WDE prospect in the country for 2022 and the best overall player from Pennsylvania.

Norvell and his staff continue to put a big emphasis on the 2023 recruiting class with at least two more offers extended to rising sophomores over the last 24 hours. Two defensive end prospects, Kaven Call and Vic Burley, announced they have received offers from the Seminoles.

Burley, 6-4 and 255 pounds, is from Warner Robins (Ga.) HS and his list of offers is reported to include Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee. Call, 6-3 and 225 pounds, is from Apopka (Fla.) HS and his list of offers is reported to include UCF, Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi State.
