Recruiting: FSU offers a pair of 2022 & 2023 prospects

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell and his staff have offered scholarships to at least five prospective student-athletes so far this week. The latest round of offers includes prospects from the 2022, 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes.

2022 Offers

OT Leyton Nelson (6-6, 272) – Orlando (Fla.) Boone High School

Nelson announced his offer via Twitter on Wednesday. The rising senior is reported to have more than a dozen offers from a list of schools that includes Arizona State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Miami, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, UCF and USF. He has received at least seven offers in the last six days.

RB Nicholas Singleton (6-0, 210) – Reading (Pa.) Governor Mifflin High School

Singleton announced his offer from FSU on Tuesday. He is reported to have over 30 offers at this point in his recruitment. That list includes Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and USC to name a few. This past season Singleton ran for 1,311 yards on 107 carries in an eight-game season. He also returns kickoff and punts. 247Sports has the rising senior rated as a four-star prospect and also ranks him as the 7th-best running back in the class of 2022, the 3rd-best overall prospect from his home state and the 11th-best overall prospect in the country.

2023 Offers

OLB Dion Crawford (6-2, 215) – Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill High School

Crawford announced his offer from FSU on Monday and reported it as being his fifth offer to this point in his recruitment. He has also reported offers from Minnesota, Virginia, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech over the last two weeks. The rising junior made 124 tackles this past season.

RB Tre Wisner (5-10, 175) – Waco (Tx.) Connally High School

Wisner reported his offer from FSU on Wednesday. He also reported an offer from Ohio State several hours later. North Texas and Texas-San Antonio have also reportedly extended offers to the rising junior.

2024 Offers

WR James Madison II (6-3, 170) – Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas High School

Madison announced his FSU offer via Twitter on Tuesday. He also announced an offer from Maryland on Monday.
