Parson to compete at Elite 11 camp

Florida State commitment Chris Parson will compete in the Elite 11 camp among the nation’s top quarterbacks.

Parson will join the top 2023 quarterback prospects in Los Angeles from June 28-30. He recently participated at a regional camp in his hometown, Nashville. He is considered among the top 20 quarterbacks in the class by 247Sports.

Osceola recruiting analyst Charles Fishbein reviewed 2023 quarterbacks in March. These are his thoughts after reviewing film: “Parson has a lively arm. He can make most of the throws asked of him. He is accurate when Parson has time to throw. We like that he looks for the big plays. He is going to try and push the ball down the field. Parson is also a very good athlete. You can design plays for him to utilize his athletic ability. Parson is a kid that with proper coaching and patience could be a very good quarterback at the college level. Parson does need to work on certain things: He has a tendency to lock on to his No. 1 target and not come off him no matter what. In college he will not be able to get away with this. It is alright to dump the ball off to your running back if the main receiver is not open down the field. If he can work on a couple of things, Parson should be able to compete for the starting job but he will need time to develop.” Parson’s Hudl highlights
