Florida State junior left-hander Drew Parrish announced on Instagram that he has agreed to a deal with the Kansas City Royals.
Parrish was selected in the eighth round on June 4. Parrish was 9-5 with a 4.67 ERA and recorded 125 strikeouts with just 32 walks in 94.1 innings in 2019.
Slot value for the pick is $184,000, although it’s not clear for what amount Parrish has signed.
He is the second FSU player to sign with an MLB team. Third baseman Drew Mendoza announced last week that he has signed with the Washington Nationals.
Junior right-hander J.C. Flowers and senior shortstop Mike Salvatore have not signed.
