Norvell’s toughness, coaching pedigree traces to Central Arkansas

Mike Norvell grew up in Texas but his roots also trace to Central Arkansas, his alma mater and the place where he began to coach as a graduate assistant in 2006.

And the term graduate assistant was one in name only. He was a position coach, leading the tight ends at what was then a Division II program – and had a smaller staff and a tight football budget.
