The Florida State football staff billed the event as a “mega camp” when the June event featured 10 schools.
But the June 6 camp in Tallahassee has now multiplied in size to more than 40 schools. Among those that are listed are in-state or nearby programs like Florida A&M, South Florida, Florida Atlantic, Troy Georgia Southern, Valdosta State, as well as Minnesota, Indiana, Washington State and Kansas.
Middle Tennessee, which is led by Rick Stockstill, is also listed. It’s not clear if head coaches will attend or if they will send assistants to the event.
The goal of the camp is to attract as many high school prospects from Florida and nearby states to be evaluated and coached by a variety of FBS and FCS coaches.
The mega camp will feature four sessions beginning with an 8:30 a.m. registration and ending at 6:30 p.m. Camps are split up by position groups, with quarterbacks, receivers and defensive backs in the second and fourth sessions.
