The Florida State football team may be in the middle of spring drills but that hasn’t slowed down head coach Mike Norvell and his staff on the virtual recruiting trail. The Seminoles have offered almost two dozen prospects in the first three weeks of March.
2022 Offers and Updates
WR Greg Gaines (6-2, 180) – Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech
Gaines has held an offer from FSU since early last year but announced late last week that he had narrowed his choice of potential college destinations to 12 schools, which includes the Seminoles. The other teams involved with Gaines are Georgia, USF, UCF, West Virginia, Penn State, Kansas State, Marshall, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, Indiana and Virginia Tech.
CB Jonquis Hardaway (6-3, 185) – Phenix City (Ala.) Central High School
Hardaway reported his offer from FSU earlier this week via Twitter. He is reported to have over two dozen offers at this point in his recruitment. That list of schools includes Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Ole Miss and Tennessee. The rising senior is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, which also has Hardaway ranked as the 41st-best CB prospect in the country for 2022 and the 16th-best overall prospect from Alabama.
QB Tayven Jackson (6-5, 185) – Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove High School
Jackson announced he had received an offer from FSU back in January but has since narrowed his list of future college homes to nine schools. Joining FSU on Jackson’s list are Arizona State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, UCLA and Washington State. He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, which also ranks Jackson as the 17th-best pro-style QB for 2022.
DT Bishop Thomas (6-2, 285) – Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore High School
Thomas announced his over from FSU via Twitter earlier this month. He is also reported to have received offers from Illinois, Louisville and Texas since receiving his offer from the Seminoles.
S Devin Moore (6-2, 175) – Naples (Fla.) High School
Moore recently announced that FSU was among the final seven schools he will consider moving forward in his recruitment. The other six are Florida, Miami, Alabama, Notre Dame, Cincinnati and Stanford. 247Sports has Moore rated as a three-star prospect and ranked as the 30th-best safety prospect in the class of 2022.
TE Jerrale Powers (6-4, 225) – Duncanville (Tex.) High School
Powers reported his offer from FSU on St. Patrick’s Day via Twitter. He is also reported to have offers from Arkansas, Colorado and Kansas.
RB Jamarion Miller (5-10, 185) – Tyler (Texas) Legacy High School
Miller reported his offer from FSU earlier this month. He has also reported to have recently picked up offers from USC, Alabama, UCF, Utah, TCU and Florida over the last two months. 247Sports has the rising senior rated as a four-star prospect and ranks him as the 19th-best RB in the class of 2022.
2023 Offers and Updates
WR Deric English (6-4, 210) – Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro High School
English reported he had picked up an offer from FSU late last week. He is also reported to have offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Michigan State.
WR Karmello English (6-0, 185) – Phenix City (Ala.) Central High School
English reported picking up an offer from FSU earlier this month. He is also reported to have picked up offers from Kansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn and Georgia since receiving and offer from the Seminoles.
S Daemon Fagan (6-2, 160) – Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage High School
Fagan reported picked up and offer from FSU earlier this month. He is also reported to have picked up offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State and West Virginia since receiving his offer from the Seminoles.
DE Zavion Hardy (6-5, 235) – Macon (Ga.) Tattnall Square Academy
Hardy announced his offer via Twitter earlier this month. Georgia, Georgia Tech and South Carolina have also reportedly offered the rising junior.
DT Xzavier McLeod (6-5, 290) – Camden (SC) High School
McLeod announced his FSU offer earlier this month via Twitter. He is also reported to have offers from Clemson, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina. He was an all-state performer as a sophomore.
CB Tony Mitchell (6-2, 180) – Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson High School
Mitchell reported an offer from FSU over a year ago. The rising junior announced earlier this month he has narrowed his list of schools under consideration to 12 with FSU among them. 247Sports has Mitchell rated as a four-star prospect and the number one CB prospect in the class of 2023.
DE Zakiah Saez (6-4, 215) – West Palm Beach (Fla.) The King’s Academy
Saez reported his offer from FSU earlier this month via Twitter. He is also reported to have offers from Louisville, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
DE Damon Wilson (6-4, 230) – Venice (Fla.) High School
Wilson announced he had received and offer from FSU late last week. He also reported an offer from Miami earlier this month.
ATH Braylon Burnside (6-0, 185)-Starkville (Miss.) High School
Burnside reported receiving an offer from FSU via Twitter on March 10. He is also reported to have offers from Oregon and Mississippi State
DE Jamorie Flagg (6-3, 225)-Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington High School
FSU was the first school to offer the rising sophomore, who has now picked up an offer from Syracuse.
DT Dinellson Exume (6-3, 242)-Miami (Fla.) Edison High School
Exume announced FSU as being the first offer he received earlier this month. It has been reported that Florida offered the rising sophomore shortly thereafter.
