Right-handers Carson Montgomery and Jackson Baumeister will be competing in the prestigious Cape Cod League this summer, among eight Seminoles who are playing summer baseball.
Baumeister will pitch for Hyannis, while Montgomery will be at Falmouth. Montgomery (4-1, 5.00 ERA) and Baumeister (1-2, 5.60 ERA) each struggled with control in the spring and will have a chance to play in the nation’s premiere wood-bat summer league.
Catcher Sebastian Jimenez, who had just eight at-bats due to injury in 2022, will get opportunities at Martha’s Vineyard in the New England League. Jimenez showed his power with a home run in the regional against Auburn.
Versatile infielder Treyton Rank (Mankato) as well as pitchers David Barrett (Wausau) and Andrew Armstrong (Wausau) will play in the Northwood League. Infielder Connor Moore and right-hander Conner Whittaker will each play for Amsterdam (N.Y.) in the Perfect Game League.
Left-hander Wyatt Crowell will compete for the US Collegiate national team.
Ross Dunn, who recently announced his transfer to Arizona State, will also compete on the US Collegiate team. Jackson Nezuh has also transferred to Louisiana Lafayette.
