The Florida State women’s basketball team shot just 32 percent from the floor and 23.5 percent from 3-point range in a 59-52 loss to Miami on Thursday night.
Bianca Jackson scored nine points and pulled down four rebounds for FSU (8-8, 2-4 ACC). Morgan Jones, O’Mariah Gordon and Sara Bejedi each had eight points for the Seminoles. Jones had three of FSU’s 10 steals.
The loss snaps Florida State’s seven-game home win streak vs. Miami.
Kelsey Marshall scored 21 points, making 5 of 14 shots from beyond the arc, for Miami (10-6, 3-3).
FSU was out rebounded 47-30.
“I give credit to Miami for really attacking the glass,” FSU coach Sue Semrau said. “We did an extremely poor job of rebounding the basketball, and I thought that was the difference in the game.”
