Florida State landed a grad transfer late Saturday night, its second addition to the defense in the last few days.
Meiko Dotson had 30 tackles and nine interceptions at Florida Atlantic in 2019. His nine interceptions tied for the most in the FBS last season.
The cornerback began his career at Georgia Tech before transferring to a junior college and then landing at FAU. He redshirted in 2018 due to injury.
Dotson, who is 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, adds to an already deep secondary. FSU returns a loaded group, including veterans like Asante Samuel, Jaiden Lars-Woodbey, Hamsah Nasirildeen, Carlos Becker and Cyrus Fagan. Among the younger prospects in the group are Akeem Dent, Travis Jay, Brendan Gant, Jarvis Brownlee, Renardo Green and Raymond Woodie III.
FSU also landed defensive end Deonte Williams, a transfer from Baylor, earlier in the week.
