Former Florida State tight end Tre’ McKitty announced last week he has entered the NCAA transfer portal as a graduate transfer. On Monday, McKitty announced via social media that he would finish his college football playing career at the University of Georgia.
The FSU roster has seen constant turnover the last several weeks due in part to the transition from former coach Willie Taggart to new Seminoles coach Mike Norvell.
Florida Atlantic announced that former FSU defensive lineman Malcolm Lamar will follow Taggart to Boca Raton.
Lamar, who was a redshirt freshman this past season, appeared in just four games for FSU in 2019 and totaled four tackles. The 6-foot-5, 277-pound Armwood High School product from Seffner, Fla., is the second former FSU player to announce he will be joining Taggart at FAU. He was rated as a four-star prospect coming out high school and was ranked as the ninth best strongside defensive end recruit by 247Sports for the 2018 recruiting class.
Earlier this week wide receiver D’Marcus Adams announced he would be joining the Owls. Adams has been in the NCAA transfer portal since September 2019. Adams, who did not appear in a game this past season, was a three-star prospect coming out of Mainland High School in Daytona Beach.
The transfer portal has been one of give and take for FSU. Norvell has landed running back Jashaun Corbin (Texas A&M), offensive tackle Devontay Taylor (Florida International), defensive lineman Jarrett Jackson (Louisville) and linebacker Cornel Jones (Purdue) in the last month.
