Florida State interim head coach Odell Haggins is making changes to his staff.

Mario Edwards Sr. will fill an on-field coaching spot as a defensive assistant coach, Haggins announced on Monday. The change is effective on Tuesday, the school announced.

Recruiting coordinator David Kelly is no longer on the staff, FSU announced. Kelly did not have specific on-field responsibilities, although he counted as one of FSU’s 10 assistants. During games, Kelly appeared to help on special teams plays after spending time as the receivers coach in 2018.

Since taking over as FSU’s interim head coach, Haggins has been able to promote Jim Leavitt and now Edwards Sr. from their roles as analysts.
