Fabien Lovett joins Robert Cooper in announcing his return to the interior of Florida State’s defensive line for the 2022 season.
Lovett made the decision official on Twitter on Thursday afternoon with a simple “I’m coming back” post. Last fall, Lovett had 28 tackles, including 4.5 for loss and 2.0 sacks. He started in nine of FSU’s 12 games and doubled his total tackles from the 2020 season.
A game captain through the fall, Lovett was an honorable mention All-ACC pick after the 2021 season.
Lovett and Cooper are part of a veteran and deep defensive tackle group that also includes Dennis Briggs Jr., Malcolm Ray, Jarrett Jackson, Joshua Farmer, Shambre Jackson and TJ Davis plus signees Daniel Lyons and Bishop Thomas.
