Florida State punter Logan Tyler is in the transfer portal, a school spokesperson confirmed to the Osceola on Thursday.
Tyler averaged 44 yards on seven punts in FSU’s opener against Boise State and had been the Seminoles’ punter the last three seasons.
The senior, who is on track to graduate in December, was suspended for the ULM and Virginia games. He dressed out for the Louisville and NC State games but did not punt or kick off.
Tyler was part of an investigation into a DUI crash from August. It’s not immediately clear if the investigation by the Tallahassee Police Department has wrapped up or is ongoing.
Walk-on Tommy Martin has averaged 41.6 yards per on 22 punts this season. Another walk-on, Parker Grothaus, has replaced Tyler as the kickoff specialist.
