FSU has added another versatile player to its roster for next season. Athlete DJ Lundy, who is 6-foot and 225 pounds, signed with the Seminoles this morning.
Lundy is expected to be a linebacker at FSU.
The Irwin County (Ga.) High prospect is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. They also have him ranked as the 58th best athlete for the 2020 recruiting class and the 101st best prospect in Georgia.
Lundy is a powerful athlete who excelled on either side of the ball in high school.
As a running back he could certainly add a change of pace to the Seminole backfield, which is now full of home run threats with Khalan Laborn, Lawrance Toafili, Ladamian Webb and Jashuan Corbin already on the roster. He has outstanding feet and runs with balance as a running back.
But Lundy is a physical downhill linebacker and is probably best suited for the defensive side of the ball as a middle linebacker in coordinator Adam Fuller’s 4-3 defense.
Lundy also considered offers from Georgia and Virginia Tech before signing with FSU. He has made official visits to each school over the last three weekends.
