Florida State defensive end Jermaine Johnson and tailback Jashaun Corbin were invited to the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday. The event will be held March 1-7 in Indianapolis.
Johnson had 70 tackles and 12 sacks at FSU in 2021. He was among the standouts at last week’s Senior Bowl in Mobile.
“Johnson didn’t disappoint,” wrote the NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, who previously worked in a few front offices. “He knows how to use his length to generate power off the edge, and I thought he showed a nice inside-counter move this week. It’s good to see he’s continuing to add to his pass-rush arsenal
Corbin ran 143 times for 887 yards and seven touchdowns last fall. He also caught 25 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown. He also had 50 yards on eight carries, including a 5-yard touchdown run, in last week’s East-West Shrine Game in Las Vegas.
Former FSU linebacker ZaQuandre White, who went on to junior college and then was a running back at South Carolina, has also been invited to the combine. White had 88 carries for 583 yards and two touchdowns along with 18 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns last fall.
