Inside the numbers: FSU’s red-zone struggles

Great offenses are balanced, have playmakers and finish drives. Note that last one: Finish drives with points, preferably touchdowns.

Florida State has shown dramatic improvement, especially in the run game, in 2020. But the Seminoles have fallen well short in the red zone.

FSU is 86th in the nation (among 99 schools) with 13 touchdowns and four field goals, 17 scores on 24 red-zone trips. The Seminoles are scoring on just 70.8 percent . . .
