O’Mariah Gordon came off the bench to score 16 points, recorded five assists and had four steals but the Florida State women’s basketball team fell to Houston 78-68 on Thursday night.
Gordon shot 6 of 12 from the floor, filling in again for injured point guard Bianca Jackson.
Morgan Jones also scored 16 points, on 5 of 9 shooting, with six rebounds. But Jones also had seven of FSU’s 15 turnovers.
Makayla Timpson had 12 points on 6 of 7 shooting.
FSU (6-4) shot 27 of 58 (46.6 percent) from the floor and 6 of 17 (35.3 percent) from 3-point range.
Laila Blair had 20 points, making 6 of 11 shots from beyond the arc, and added six rebounds for Houston (6-5).
The Seminoles play host to Virginia Tech on Sunday at 2 p.m. (ACC Network).
