Florida State stumbled at home without one of its star seniors.
Emma Guy scored 21 points, drilling 10 of 16 shots from the floor, as Boston College upset No. 14 FSU 65-56 on Thursday night.
Nicki Ekhomu scored 19 points and Kiah Gillespie added 12 points and seven rebounds for FSU.
The Seminoles (17-4, 6-4 ACC) were playing without guard Nausia Woolfolk, who missed the game due to injury.
FSU shot 24 of 64 (37.5 percent) from the floor but again struggled from beyond the arc, making just 4 of 20 (20 percent) from 3-point range.
Ekhomu sparked a rally with three straight baskets to cut the deficit to seven points at 48-41. The Seminoles’ comeback effort fell short as the Eagles outscored FSU 20-17 in the final period.
The Eagles improved to 11-9, 4-5.
Next up for FSU is a road game against Pittsburgh on Saturday (4-16, 1-8) at 5 p.m. The game will stream live on ACC Network Extra.
