Green commits to FSU basketball

Forward De’Ante Green, who is considered the top power forward in North Carolina, committed to Florida State basketball in a video he released on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

“I’ve been blessed with so many opportunities,” Green said. “With that being said I will be taking my talents to Florida State University.”

Green also thanked his parents, friends and coaches as well as college coaches who recruited him.

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Green plays for Asheville (N.C.) Christian Academy. Green averaged 14.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game last season. He is considered a four-star by 247Sports.

Green visited FSU a week ago. Among his top 10 schools: Florida State, Baylor, Georgia, Gonzaga, Kansas, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, Tennessee and Wake Forest.

He joins FSU commitments Tom House and Cameron Corhen in the class of 2022.
