The Florida State-Florida football game has been an annual tradition on Thanksgiving weekend for decades. That will continue in 2019 and into the near future.
FSU and Florida agreed to continue playing as the final regular-season game in 2020-22.
While the 2019 schedule has already been set, with the teams facing off in Gainesville on Nov. 30, future matchups will also be held in Tallahassee (Nov. 28, 2020 and Nov. 26, 2022) and in Gainesville (Nov. 27, 2021).
There has long been discussion about moving the FSU-Florida game up in the calendar. But the programs both seem content with playing the game on rivalry weekend.
It’s also worth noting that FSU will play host to Alabama State on Nov. 16 and then have a bye week before playing Florida this season. The Gators will play at Missouri and then have a bye before facing FSU.
