FSU women fall at NC State in top-15 matchup

The last three Thursdays have been forgettable for the Florida State women’s basketball team.

Kiah Gillespie scored 22 points but the No. 13 Seminoles fell to No. 9 NC State 68-51 at Raleigh, N.C. on Thursday.

The Seminoles (15-3, 4-3 ACC) have lost three games on consecutive Thursdays – at Syracuse, home against Georgia Tech and at NC State.

Nicki Ekhomu scored 12 points for the Seminoles.

Elissa Cunane had 20 points and 10 rebounds for NC State (16-1, 5-1), which had four starters in double figures.

FSU shot 21 of 58 (36.2 percent) from the floor and 4 of 22 (18.2 percent) from 3-point range.

    Coach Sue needs to shake up the starting lineup. Why reward poor performance by allowing them to keep starting. When I played basketball you had to EARN ur right to start every week. It wasn’t a given. It is no secret that Valencia Myers cost us the game at Syracuse…and her performance since then has been “unproductive” to say the least!! So why is she continually rewarded by getting the start?? I think if someone else started in her place (River or London) maybe she would get the message
