Florida State will begin play in the Super Regionals on Saturday at LSU at 3 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
The best-of-three series will be played in Baton Rouge, La. Game 2 is on Sunday at 6 p.m. (ESPN2) and a third game, if necessary, will be on Monday at 8:30 p.m. (ESPN).
This is FSU’s 17th Super Regional in the 21 seasons since the format was introduced.
FSU has not played at LSU since 1983. The teams played twice in the 2017 College World Series, with LSU taking both games and eliminating the Seminoles.
The winner of the Super Regional between FSU (39-21) and LSU (40-24) will advance to the CWS, which begins on June 15.
MLB Draft begins: The first-year player draft began on Monday night with 78 picks over two rounds (including compensatory picks). No current FSU player was selected.
FSU shortstop commitment Yordis Valdes of Hollywood (Fla.) McArthur was selected in the second round by the Cleveland Indians.
When the draft continues on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m., among the top FSU players to watch will be 3B Drew Mendoza, CF-RHP J.C. Flowers, SS Mike Salvatore and LHP Drew Mendoza.
