FSU picked to finish fourth in ACC Atlantic

Florida State was picked to finish fourth in the Atlantic Division on Monday in the ACC’s preseason media poll.

Clemson was an overwhelming pick to win the ACC title. The Tigers received 125 votes, far ahead of No. 2 North Carolina (16) and No. 3 Miami (3).

The Seminoles trailed Clemson, NC State and Boston College in the projections. After No. 4 FSU, Wake Forest, Louisville and Syracuse completed the Atlantic poll.

North Carolina was the No. 1 team in the Coastal Division, followed by Miami. A distant third was Virginia Tech, followed by Pittsburgh, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Duke.

The Seminoles’ schedule has been viewed as a challenging one in 2021 and FSU will face the top two teams in the Coastal as well as Notre Dame and Florida.

FSU players report to camp on Aug. 6 with the first practice a day later. The Seminoles open the season on Sept. 5 against Notre Dame.
