The football season opener between Florida State and Notre Dame will be played on Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. on ABC. FSU and some ACC schools announced their game times for the season openers on Tuesday.
FSU vs. Notre Dame will be one of the most anticipated games in the ACC but will also have a national TV audience on a Sunday night. Offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham has also said the coaching staff is encouraging as many of the 2022 and ’23 class prospects to attend the Notre Dame game, which will have what they think will be a great game-day atmosphere to showcase the program.
The first few FSU game times should be released in the coming weeks or months.
It’s an intriguing opening weekend around the league and one that will have a game on five straight nights beginning Sept. 2 with USF at NC State. Miami-Alabama and Clemson-Georgia highlight the Saturday games, while Louisville-Ole Miss play on Monday.
