FSU moves up in baseball polls

The Florida State baseball team moved up in both major polls on Monday, while the Seminoles’ RPI is lagging.

FSU moved up a spot to 14th in the Baseball America poll. Notre Dame moved up four spots to No. 2 following a sweep of North Carolina. Arkansas retains the top spot.

The Seminoles (23-16, 15-12 ACC) moved up five spots to 20th in the D1baseball.com poll. No. 7 Louisville is the top ACC team, followed by Notre Dame at No. 8.

FSU’s RPI slid to 59th following a series win over Troy. Taking two of three games vs. Troy didn’t help, as the Trojans are 142nd in the RPI. RPI is not reflective of polls as Notre Dame is 10th and Louisville is 55th.

Next up for FSU is a three-game series at Notre Dame (24-8, 21-8 ACC), beginning on Friday. All three games are set to be televised by the ACC Network.
