Florida State has had one of the top men’s golf teams in 2021 and will host a regional — as a No. 1 seed — with some of the top teams in the nation.
The Seminoles were selected as the top seed in its own NCAA Regional during Wednesday’s NCAA Golf Selection Show on The GOLF Channel. It is the program’s 15th straight regional appearance, a streak that began in 2006.
The Seminoles will be one of six hosts of a 2021 NCAA Men’s Golf Regional, showcasing the redesigned Seminole Legacy Club on May 17-19. Practice rounds for every team will occur on May 16.
The field includes No. 2 seeded Georgia, No. 3 Liberty, No. 4 LSU, No. 5 Georgia Tech, No. 6 Georgia Southern, No. 7 TCU, No. 8 Indiana, No. 9 Kansas, No. 10 USC, No. 11 Ohio State, No. 12 Davidson, No. 13 Florida A&M and No. 14 LIU.
The Seminoles finished second in the ACC in the match play final. They are ranked second overall in all the major collegiate golf polls, including Golfstat’s rankings, Golfweek as well as the Golf Coaches Association of America Poll.
The NCAA Men’s Golf Regional held May 17-19 at the Seminole Legacy Club includes free admission to the public.
