FSU makes cut for a pair of 2022 prospects, new offers extended

FSU has learned over the last several days that it is among the leaders in the recruiting process for a pair of highly regarded 2022 defensive prospects. The Seminoles have also extended new offers to prospects from the 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes.

2022 Offers and Updates

DT Anthony Lucas (6-5, 280) – Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral High School

Lucas announced on Tuesday on his Instagram account that he had narrowed his list of potential college homes to 10 schools with FSU included on that list. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC are the other nine schools still in the running for the talented defensive tackle, who is considered a four-star prospect by 247Sports. They also rank him as the 3rd-best DT prospect in the country for 2022.

LB Omar Graham Jr. (6-1, 205) – Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan High School

Graham announced that he has narrowed his list of potential college homes to FSU, Penn State, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, Auburn and UCF. He has also set official visits with FSU, Michigan and Penn State for this June.

TE Jackson Long (6-5, 220) – Hendersonville (Tenn.) Beech High School

Other reported offers include Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee Tech. As a junior Long caught 13 passes for 183 yards and recorded 16 tackles on defense in a 10-game season.

DE Caden Story (6-4, 235) – Lanett (Ala.) High School

Story’s offer list is reported to include Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas A&M and UCF among others. He is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, which also ranks him as the 9th-best SDE prospect in the class of 2022.

ATH Jalil Tucker (6-0, 180) – San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln High School

Tucker is reported to have offers from just about every school in the PAC-12 as well as Miami, Michigan and Nebraska. He is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and ranked as the 11th-best overall prospect in the country for 2022.

2023 Offers

S Peyton Bowen (6-1, 185) – Denton (Tx.) Guyer High School

Offer list is reported to include Baylor, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Southern Cal. He is considered a four-star prospect by 247Sports.

LB Troy Bowles (6-1, 205) – Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit High School

Bowles’ offer list is also reported to include Boston College, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan and Penn State among others. He is the son of Tampa Bay Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles. The rising junior is considerd to be a four-star prospect by 247Sports, which also ranks Bowles as the 6th-best OLB prospect in the class of 2023.

LB Raylen Wilson (6-1, 190) – Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln High School

Wilson’s offer list is reported to include Arkansas, FAU, Louisville, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC and USF. He is rated as a four-star prospect and the 7th-best OLB in the class of 2023 by 247Sports.
