Florida State picked up a pair of commitments on Thursday night in the class of 2020.

Alex Atcavage received an offer just a day earlier and committed to FSU. Atcavage is a Pennsylvania native who will play for Bradenton’s IMG Academy this fall and is a 247Sports three-star offensive guard. The 6-foot-5 Atcavage posted on Twitter earlier in the day that he had lost 65 pounds since his freshman year, slimming down to 285 pounds.

“I’m PROUD and BLESSED to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY,” Atcavage wrote as part of a post on his commitment on Twitter.

Later in the night, 247Sports three-star tight end Carter Boatwright of Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt Country committed to the Seminoles. “I want to thank Coach Taggart, Coach Briles, Coach Lockette and the entire FSU staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play football at Florida State University,” Boatwright wrote in part about his commitment on Twitter.

Atcavage joins Zane Herring of Madison County as FSU’s offensive line commitments for the 2020 signing class.

Atcavage is a little ahead of Herring at this point in their development. Based off tape he is stronger at the point of attack and more developed physically.
