Florida State has landed transfer wide receiver Mike Roussos, a New Port Richey native who is a three-time All-Ivy League selection as a returner.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Roussos led the Ivy League in punt returns (9.4), and was in the top 20 in the FCS in kick return yards (26.4). He finished with 652 all-purpose yards in eight games — 397 on kick returns, 152 on punt returns and 104 receiving yards — for Columbia.
“I grew up watching Florida and FSU so it’s always been a dream,” Roussos told the Osceola about his desire to come back to the Sunshine State to go to school and play college football. “When I visited, the coaches were great and I fell in love with the whole atmosphere there.”
Roussos has played three seasons at Columbia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. (The Ivy League did not play in 2020 due to COVID.) Roussos says he has one year to play at FSU.
