The transfer portal remains an opportunistic way for Mike Norvell to improve the roster as he builds at Florida State.
Defensive back Jarrian Jones announced on Monday morning that he is leaving Mississippi State for FSU. Jones would need a waiver to be eligible to play for FSU in the fall.
Jones had 12 tackles, two pass break-ups and a fumble recovery in 2019 as a freshman. He was a four-star prospect out of Flowood, Miss.
FSU has landed a large group of transfers under Norvell, including tailback Jashaun Corbin, offensive lineman Devontay Love-Taylor, defensive tackle Fabien Lovett, defensive end Deonte Williams and defensive back Meiko Dotson.
The Seminoles are also still chasing grad transfer offensive lineman Jarrid Williams.
