Florida State is quickly building its 2021 recruiting class, almost a full year ahead of signing day.
Three-star quarterback Luke Altmyer of Starkville, Miss., committed to FSU on Twitter on Monday morning. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Altmyer chose FSU over more than a dozen reported offers, including Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
FSU coach Mike Norvell reportedly offered Altmyer on his junior day visit just more than a week ago.
Altmyer is expected to sign in December and enroll at FSU in January 2021.
Watching some of his 2019 highlights, it’s easy to see why FSU coach Mike Norvell is interested in Altmyer. He has good touch on deep passes and moves well in the pocket to elude pressure while looking for open receivers.

FSU’s third quarterback commitment in two months… And to think the Seminoles didn’t sign a quarterback for two years. Encouraging.
Dan Densmore
I really don’t want to know what the former staff was doing regarding quarterbacks…Now they have a stable of them. Better get some great O line prospects.
Jeremy Moore
Amazing to see what having a legitimate plan and working that plan can do for positive results. Very encouraging!
Patrick Burnham
Continue to be impressed by Norvell, like you mentioned he came in here with a definitive plan and has certainly done a very good job of finishing off a “transition” class.

Funny how “plan and execute” works in your business or in mine.
Philip Troyer
Love “decent” QBs but the key is always the O line.
