FSU hoops to play host to Indiana

Florida State men’s basketball will play host to Indiana on Dec. 9, a Wednesday night, as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. FSU and Indiana have played five times, four on a neutral court, but never in Tallahassee.

The Seminoles traveled to Indiana last December, falling 80-64.

FSU will also host Florida and is tentatively set to face UCF as part of the non-conference schedule. The Seminoles have won six straight against the Gators.

A 2020-21 schedule has not yet been released by the ACC but the clock is ticking with the NCAA allowing games to be played as early as Nov. 25, which is less than four weeks away. FSU officials have stated in an email to season ticket holders that capacity at the Donald L. Tucker Center could be capped at 25 percent.

The Seminoles will lose a number of key pieces like Devin Vassell and Patrick Williams, potential NBA lottery picks, as well as Trent Forrest. But FSU returns a core of the team, including guards M.J. Walker, Rayquan Evans and Anthony Polite as well as forwards Malik Osborne, RaiQuan Gray and Wyatt Wilkes. Mix in five-star forward Scottie Barnes, junior college guard Sardaar Calhoun and centers Quincy Ballard and Tanor Ngom.

All of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge games will air on the ESPN networks.
