FSU football players spend afternoon with Boys & Girls Club

Florida State football players spent time on Friday afternoon at the Springfield Boys & Girls Club on Joe Louis Avenue, playing kickball and football while talking and connecting with a group of boys and girls.

Camren McDonald, Keyshawn Helton, Jordan Travis, Amari Gainer, Jared Verse, Jammie Robinson and Jarvis Brownlee spent a few hours with the boys and girls.

“I just want them to remember we are a part of this community as well,” McDonald said. “we are going to come out here and spend time with you and I also want them to remember that they’re also serving us. I just want them to know that we appreciate them as much as they appreciate us.”

The event was coordinated as part of Rising Spear, which has arranged opportunities for FSU athletes to spend time at Tallahassee’s Boys and Girls Clubs.
