FSU head coach Mike Norvell and offensive line coach Alex Atkins could be targeting the addition of another offensive lineman via the NCAA transfer portal. Marshall offensive guard Cain Madden announced he was entering the portal earlier Wednesday. Madden, 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, is now being followed on Twitter by several members of the FSU staff, including Atkins and offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham.
Madden is also being followed by several Seminole players, including linebacker Amari Gainer, running back Jashaun Corbin and offensive tackle Devontay Love-Taylor. Gainer has been actively engaged on the social media network with Madden today.
This past season Madden played in nine games and was named to the first-team All-Conference USA team and was a second-team AP All-American. He has appeared in 22 games over the last two seasons and will have one year of eligibility remaining. Madden, who began his college career as a walk-on, is originally from South Webster, Ohio.
