Impact of dead period offset by technology

Mike Norvell and Florida State’s staff proved that they could close on the recruiting trail.

Hired on Dec. 8, just 10 days before the early signing period began, Norvell quickly began recruiting. He leaned on assistants like Odell Haggins, Ron Dugans and Telly Lockette (who was not retained) as well as his new hires.

With just one weekend to host prospects, the staff made an impression. And they did it again in January, hosting prospects as they looked to complete their class in the weeks leading up to the February signing day.
