FSU baseball picked to finish third in Atlantic Division

The Florida State baseball team, which will open next week with a three game series against North Florida, has been picked to finish third in the ACC’s Atlantic Division in polling by the league’s 14 head coaches.

ACC coaches picked Louisville as the preseason champion. Miami was picked to win the Coastal Division. Louisville received nine votes as the likely overall ACC winner. Miami and Virginia received two votes each, and Florida State had one.
                                
Louisville was also picked to finish atop the Atlantic Division with 95 total points, followed by NC State with 74 and Florida State with 73. Seven coaches picked Miami to win the Coastal Division, while Virginia had five first-place votes and Georgia Tech two.

Preseason polls are all over the map, ranging from Baseball America projecting FSU at No. 9 and D1baseball.com placing the Seminoles at 24th.

FSU opens with a home game vs. North Florida on Feb. 19 followed by a doubleheader on Feb. 20. The full FSU baseball schedule can be viewed here.
