One of the fastest high school players in the nation has signed with Florida State.

Corey Wren of Harvey (La.) John Curtis signed with FSU on Wednesday morning. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Wren will likely line up as a running back/slot receiver hybrid position in FSU coach Mike Norvell’s offense.

He had committed to Georgia this summer before de-committing from the Bulldogs in December.

Wren totaled 3,126 all-purpose yards in his high school career. He averaged 11.4 yards per carry, totaling 2,309 yards on 202 carries and scored 36 total touchdowns.

As a senior, he rushed for 1,146 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 132 yards and two touchdowns receiving and 272 return yards with one touchdown as a senior.

Wren is also a talented track athlete. According to 247Sports, he is a two-time Louisiana Division I indoor 60-meter champion and has recorded a personal-best 6.80 seconds in that event. He has also reportedly been clocked in the 10.4s in the 100 meters on several occasions in his track career.
