FSU adds fourth receiver transfer, Winston Wright

Florida State continues to reach into the transfer portal to grab receiving help, landing Winston Wright Jr. on Sunday evening.

Wright is a Savannah, Ga., native who played at West Virginia. He caught 63 passes for 688 yards and five touchdowns in 2021, setting career bests in each category. Wright has played three seasons for the Mountaineers.

“After a lot of thought and prayer I think it is in my heart to be closer to home to be around my family and community even during this time in my life. With that being said I would like to announce I will be continuing my college career for these next eight months at a Florida State University!!”

Wright joins Deuce Spann (Illinois), Johnny Wilson (Arizona State) and Mycah Pittman (Oregon) as receivers who have transferred to FSU for the 2022 season.
