Florida State needed to build a strong receiver class for 2020 and it’s beginning to take shape.
Ja’Khi Douglas of Houma (La.) Terrebonne High, a 247Sports four-star prospect, committed to the Seminoles on Thursday evening. The 5-foot-9, 187-pound Douglas chose FSU over nearly 30 reported offers.
“I want to thank Coach Taggart, Coach Dugans, and Coach Briles and FSU football staff for believing me and giving me an opportunity to play at FSU,” Douglas posted on Twitter. “With that being said, for the next 4 years I will be taking my talent to Florida State University.”
Douglas visited FSU for the spring game and had been recruited to Tallahassee by receivers coach Ron Dugans.
He is the second receiver in the 2020 class, joining Malachi Wideman of Sarasota Riverview.
The Seminoles have 15 commitments for 2020 and the class is ranked 13th by 247Sports.
