Five Noles in AFC, NFC title games

Five Florida State players will be taking part in AFC and NFC championship games on Sunday.

AFC title game

Bengals at Chiefs, 3 p.m. (CBS): Derrick Nnadi and Joshua Kaindoh are on the Chiefs roster. Nnadi had three tackles (two solo) in the win over the Steelers but did not record any stats against the Bills. He has also been active with dog adoptions in Kansas City, having paid for nearly 200 (including 120 after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl). Kaindoh had an injury early in the season and has not played. Auden Tate is on the Bengals’ roster but has not been active for the playoffs.

NFC title game

49ers at Rams, 6:30 p.m. (FOX): Cam Akers and Jalen Ramsey are on the Rams’ roster. Akers ran 24 times for 48 yards but had two fumbles in the Rams’ playoff win over the Bucs. The fumbles clearly allowed the Bucs to stay in the game and climb into position to rally, but it’s remarkable he is even playing after the Achilles injury about five months ago. Akers and Sony Michel have earned the majority of the carries in the playoffs. “Cam is more of a slash player, slash runner, maybe a little bit more top-end speed. But, both those guys could really carry the load for a full game, I think,” Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford told reporters. Ramsey gave up a long touchdown late in the win over the Bucs. He had four tackles in the game. There are no FSU players on the 49ers roster.
