First Impressions: Second-half woes, penalties doom FSU

For the third week in a row Florida State held a lead going into halftime that the Seminoles couldn't protect.

The Seminoles led Virginia 14-10 at the intermission but, just like in its first two ball games, FSU’s second-half woes continued. FSU played bend-but-don’t-break defense in the first half, its most impressive half of the season, but couldn’t slow down the Cavs' passing game in the second half. The offense put 14 points on the board in the first half but just like in the first two games . . .
